PRP Therapy

PRP Therapy (Microneedling with Platelet-Rich Plasma Therapy)

Skin Care aka the “Vampire Facial”
Aydin Plastic Surgery can use platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy for skin care treatments and for hair restoration! Micro-needling with PRP can reduce fine lines and wrinkles, tighten and tone the skin, promote the production of collagen, and improve volume loss. Using your own blood platelets, you do not run the risk of having an allergic reaction or side effects from the treatment. PRP can also be combined with other rejuvenation treatments for enhanced results. After microneedling the skin, the prepared PRP serum is applied in the fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth, cheeks, and eyes to brighten the face and create a younger-looking appearance.

First, your own blood will be drawn so that it can be spun in a special centrifuge until the stem cells, platelets, and growth factors are concentrated. This will turn it into platelet rich plasma (PRP). Then, an aesthetic technician will numb your face with a topical anesthetic. The prepared PRP is put into a syringe to be applied to your skin after microneedling creates micro-channels for better absorption. The PRP will rejuvenate the skin overtime by stimulating the growth of new collagen and tissue.

PRP for Hair Restoration
PRP therapy for hair loss is a non-surgical procedure that helps stimulate and promote new hair growth for men and women. Just like for the skin care procedure, PRP for hair restoration involves withdrawing the patient’s blood so that it can be spun in a special centrifuge until the stem cells, platelets, and growth factors are concentrated and turn into a platelet rich plasma (PRP). The Platelet Rich Plasma, which includes growth proteins, is injected directly into the patient’s scalp, where the hair is thinning, which helps stimulate hair follicles and promotes new hair growth!

PRP can also be combined with hair transplantation and other hair restoration procedures for enhanced results.
