Erase Blemishes With Microneedling in NJ

Microneedling (aka collagen-induction therapy) is a non-surgical treatment that penetrates your skin’s surface with fine needles to improve its appearance. This popular procedure offered at our Paramus location can help smooth lines and wrinkles, even skin tone (including stubborn melasma), minimize large pores, firm skin, and fade stretch marks and scars, including acne scars.

What Is Microneedling?

Microneedling uses a “pen” with 12 tiny needles moved over the target areas of the skin. The needles create microscopic punctures/channels in the skin. The body reacts to this as if wounded, triggering repair mechanisms. As it produces new collagen and elastin, your skin's condition improves. Through these microchannels, we can also apply topical gels, creams, and serums that can penetrate the skin more efficiently, improving the outer layer of the skin.

Although it sounds painful, it isn’t. Before beginning a microneedling session, our aesthetician first applies a topical numbing cream, and patients report that they usually cannot feel anything during the procedure.

Are You a Candidate for Microneedling?

Candidates for microneedling are individuals seeking to improve the appearance of their skin and are not currently pregnant or nursing. This procedure is suitable for every skin type and is especially beneficial for those looking to reduce the signs of aging or repair minor skin damage. People with active skin infections, severe acne, or a history of poor wound healing may need to consider alternative treatments.

How Microneedling Works

By creating microscopic punctures in your skin, microneedling causes thousands of tiny injuries, which trigger a healing response within the skin that releases a cascade of growth factors. This boosts the production of the body’s own collagen (the protein fibers that keep skin smooth and supple).

What Microneedling Addresses

Microneedling addresses a number of skin issues with its collagen and elastin-producing effects. Unlike laser treatments, microneedling works on all skin tones without causing hyperpigmentation. Microneedling can be used anywhere on the body, but the face, neck, and chest are the typical targets.

Here are the conditions we treat with microneedling:

  • Fine lines
  • Large pores
  • Uneven texture
  • Stretch marks
  • Acne scars

What to Expect During the Procedure

Microneedling can be painful, so a topical anesthetic cream will be applied to the treatment area about an hour before the procedure.

Once you’re numb, your skin is cleansed and dried. Then, based on what issue you’re trying to treat, an active serum is applied—for instance, salicylic acid for acne or vitamin C for pigmentation.

I’ve been seeing Beata for about five months now for my skincare, and I can honestly say my skin has never looked better! I’ve had HydraFacials and microneedling with exosomes done, and I can truly say each experience has been an absolute pleasure. Beata gives THE best facials that always leave my skin feeling refreshed and glowing. I cannot compliment Beata, Aydin Plastic Surgery, and the entire staff enough. It was such a great experience from beginning to end. Can’t wait for my next treatment!

Microneedling With PRP

A PRP facial combines microneedling (also known as collagen-induction therapy) with a topical application of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) derived from your own blood. PRP is obtained by drawing a small amount of your blood, which is then spun in a centrifuge to separate the plasma and platelets from other blood components. After the microneedling procedure is performed, the PRP is applied to the treated area, where it penetrates the tiny channels created by the microneedling. This allows the PRP to reach the deeper layers of the skin.

Rich growth factors in platelet-rich plasma accelerate tissue repair and regeneration, which enhances the natural healing response initiated by microneedling. This skin rejuvenation treatment improves skin texture and tone overall. It can also reduce scars (including acne scars), correct hyperpigmentation, tighten lax skin, smooth fine lines, and minimize the appearance of large pores. The combination of microneedling with PRP not only accelerates the healing process but also enhances the overall results, leading to a more vibrant, youthful, and smooth skin appearance.

Microneedling With Exosomes

BENEV exosome treatments represent a revolutionary advancement in biotechnology for skin rejuvenation and regeneration. Exosomes play a crucial role in cellular communication, facilitating the transfer of RNA and essential proteins between various cells, such as fibroblasts, keratinocytes, and immune cells. These tiny vesicles deliver a plethora of growth factors, cytokines, and genetic materials that are instrumental in repairing tissue and enhancing the condition of skin cells, ultimately contributing to a vibrant, youthful appearance.

When combined with microneedling, this clinically proven, paraben-free, and hypoallergenic intensive dual-action complex absorbs quickly into the skin, delivering the concentrated power of over 5 billion stem cell-derived lyophilized exosomes, potent growth factors, peptides, coenzymes, minerals, amino acids, vitamins, and irritation reduction agents to rejuvenate and intensely moisturize the skin.

Microneedling Recovery in NJ

Microneedling is best done as an after-work procedure. There is no real downtime, but the patient’s skin is pretty red following the session. This redness subsides by the next day. Results may be seen after one session, but multiple treatments are usually needed to achieve the desired results—anywhere from three to five treatments spaced four to six weeks apart. Results can continue to improve as long as three to six months following your last treatment.
